لوسیفر بعد از گذشت 6 فصل به پایان خودش رسید و طرفدارانش را با انتهای راه شخصیت‌ها روبه‌رو کرد. پخش این سریال از سال 2016 در شبکه فاکس شروع شد اما پس از سه فصل کنسل شد، خوشبختانه بخاطر اعتراضات زیاد طرفداران، نتفلیکس ساخت فصل چهارم سریال را برعهده گرفت و این مجموعه محبوب ادامه پیدا کرد. این سریال در ژانر جنایی درام تولید شد اما اقتباسی از کمیک‌های فانتزی ورتیگو از شخصیت لوسیفر است. لوسیفر ابتدا یکی از شخصیت‌های کمیک سندمن بود و بعدها اسپین‌آفی رسمی برای خودش دریافت کرد و توانست به شخصیتی مستقل تبدیل شود. بعد از این اتفاق، لوسیفر به یکی از شخصیت‌های محبوب دنیای کمیک تبدیل شد و خوشبختانه در دنیای سریال نیز همینطور بود.
