It shall be an stand alone report meaning, if say, 5 years from now, you may want to look at the report, you won’t find an ambiguity or have a valid important question that remains a mystery.
The report shall include date, location, reason for inspection (referring to ITP or Inspection Notification), documents used (PO, Drawing, ITP, QC procedure), contact detail of vendor’s rep., outcome of inspection, any NCR or punch list issued (attach them to the report), any safety issue observed.
〉 Include sufficient photos with captions.
〉 Avoid using vague or general statements. Be precise and concise.
〉 Check if your inspection document package are approved and at same revision with vendor’s documents.
〉 Remember, Instructions noted in the inspection notification is your scope of work. stick to it.
〉 Ask for client’s verbal instruction to be documented, else, you may have a ”who shot John” scenario later on.
〉Don’t get argumentative with the vendor, if you are not ‘satisfied’ with client’s response, tell him and note the same in your report.
〉Always address the problems, not the individuals.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row]
